Professor Robert Ellis is Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching), at Griffith University, which is a senior pan-university leadership position, responsible for innovation and quality of learning, teaching the student experience across twenty one faculties and schools. His experience in university governance and committee work reflects his roles in institutional leadership and his belief in the importance of innovation in curriculum development, teaching and learning involving technology.
Robert has been a long-time research collaborator and PhD supervisor with Professor Peter Goodyear from Sydney School of Education and Social Work's Centre for Research on Learning and Innovation. He and Professor Goodyear are co-editors of the Springer book series “Understanding Teaching-Learning” practice (
https://www.springer.com/series/14356 ). Robert also continues to author journal articles with our former Sydney School of Education and Social Work postdoctoral research students Feifei Han and Ana-Maria Bliuc, providing mentoring and helping advance their careers.
